Located in the scenic heart of Virginia, Camp Rappahannock is a beloved summer camp that has been providing unforgettable experiences to children of all ages for generations. With a wide range of activities that emphasize outdoor exploration, skill-building, and team-building, Camp Rappahannock is a place where children can disconnect from technology and immerse themselves in nature and connect with God.

From hiking and canoeing to rock climbing and archery, there is something for everyone at Camp Rappahannock. With exceptional staff who are dedicated to creating a supportive and caring environment for all campers, Camp Rappahannock is a place where children can make lasting memories, build new friendships, and develop important life skills.

SAME CAMP EXPERIENCE

Camp Tomahawk and Camp Happyland are equally important in The Salvation Army Potomac Division’s rich history of camp ministry. Moving forward, we need a camp that can carry that legacy and be a camp ready to face the future. Our Potomac divisional leadership has listened, discerned, and sought God’s voice in this challenge.

We know how important these two camps have been to the people and communities we serve. The Potomac Division wants a divisional camp that is a place of unity, peace, and God’s love. As we move forward, we are excited to share a new name for our Potomac Division camp – The Salvation Army Rappahannock Camp and Retreat Center.
